A Dozen for 2023

I thought it would be fun to put together a list of a dozen books that I’m really excited to read in 2023.

1. Age of Vice by Deepti Kapoor; 2. The Fortnight in September by R.C. Sherriff; 3. Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo; Middlemarch by George Eliot (reread); 5. Life and Fate by Vasily Grossman; 6. Shadows on the Rock by Willa Cather; 7. Homecoming by Kate Morton; 8. Babel by R.F. Kuang; 9. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte; 10. The Bullet that Missed by Richard Osman; 11. Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin; 12. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

  1. I’ll be very interested in your Middlemarch re-read – that book changes every time I read it! A Fortnight in September and Lessons in Chemistry are great, I’ll be getting the Osman when it’s out in paperback, and the same with Tomorrow x 3, both will be readalongs with my husband. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks! My library hold for The Bullet That Missed came up on Friday, and I devoured it over the weekend. That series is so much fun!

  2. Shadows on the Rock and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall are great! So is Middlemarch (but you know that). Nice variety of books there, hope you can get to all of them.
